Fans of “Final Fantasy XII” rejoice! “Zodiac Age,” the last to grace PlayStation 2, is getting the remaster treatment for PlayStation 4. On Twitter, game developer Square Enix announced that the remastered game will be released in two dates: July 11 for Europe and North America, and July 13 for Japan and the rest of Asia. Endgadget noted that the announcement was made on the franchise’ 30th anniversary, with a special event to help commemorate the milestone in Tokyo.
IGN said “Final Fantasy XII: Zodiac Age” will feature upgraded graphics, as well as the fact that players in Europe and North America will now be able to use the Zodiac Job System. The Zodiac Job System is a 12-job character progression system which is only available in the original release back in Japan. Moreover, fans should expect a remastered soundtrack, faster loading time, auto-saving, 7.1 surround sound, and a Trial Mode, which is cool for players who wish to take on all types of monsters in succeeding battles.
And if you’re also a fan of playing other “Final Fantasy” versions, TIME said Square Enix appears committed to releasing a remaster of the “Final Fantasy VII” game. Although there are no details yet as to when this will be out on the market, it should be well on its way soon.
Moreover, “Final Fantasy XV” will have a booster pack out on February 21st, and will include new items along with a purported “invincible outfit.” A little over a month after, “Final Fantasy XV Episode Gladiolus” will be released. “Gladiolus” is an additional story content that would allow players a chance to experience the game from the perspective of Gladio, Noctis pal and entourage stalwart.
