Despite the recent fuss between PUBG publisher Bluehole and Epic Games, Fortnite’s launch of its Battle Royale mode still saw over one million players, according to the developers. Epic is now planning on adding more features to the mode, including voice chat and character customization, which would put it much closer to how PUBG works.
The one million player number came via a Twitter post by the developers of Fortnite, celebrating the huge reception of the new mode. Based on the subsequent replies, it seems there are a few more tweaks that gamers are waiting for, which Epic is planning to deliver in the future.
Over 1 million players have partied on the Battle Bus during the first day of Battle Royale! Thank you and party on!
