“Fortnite” recently got an update when it kicked off its Halloween festival called “Fortnitemare” and it comes with some interesting new additions. Among the most noteworthy is the appearance of creatures that attack players called “Cube Monsters.” At least, this is what Epic would like players to call them instead of “zombies,” which they are currently doing.
The new “Fortnite” Halloween event is exciting for a lot of reasons, with the addition of new hazards that provide players with new challenges being one of the most essential. However, as a representative from Epic told The Verge, these creatures are certainly not zombies.
“They’re officially ‘Cube Monsters,’” the representative told the publication. “Across Fortnite, we don’t refer to any enemies as ‘zombies.’ In Save the World, you have ‘Husks’ and ‘monsters’ of various names and types.”
Unfortunately for Epic, a lot of players are already referring to these monsters as zombies, which is a topic that has picked up on social media. Players have been Tweeting about how they were getting killed by these creatures in “Fortnite” Battle Royale.
Yooooo wtf a zombie just kilt me

With “Fortnite” originally being a survival base-building game where players had to survive attacks by monsters, this particular addition is actually quite sensible. Not only does it celebrate one of the most popular events of the year, but it also ties the two versions of the game together in a neat way.
Speaking of new additions to “Fortnite,” it would appear that there has been a leak of new items that are coming to the game, Comicbook.com reports. Called Galaxy Items, they basically look like ordinary items with celestial themes. This particular tidbit came via the data miners over at AlphaLeaker, which Tweeted details about the items.
Among the “Fortnite” Galaxy Items that are coming out would seem to include Celestial Gliders and Pickaxes. Players who are interested in obtaining such items or skins can get a head start to rack up those challenge points now.
