“Fruits Basket” 2019 is an anime that made waves when it was announced and absolutely exploded when it aired the first episode. So far, fans are loving the reboot to the classic slice of life show with a nice sprinkling of fantasy and more than a little unexpected drama. Unfortunately for the viewers on international soil, two episodes will be delayed due to tennis, of all things.
Simply put, episodes nine and ten of “Fruits Basket” 2019 will not be airing as they originally should because the French Open will be taking their places, Comic Book reports. This announcement was made via social media, which has since sent fans into a frenzy. Delaying two episodes of one of 2019’s hottest anime shows for tennis?
“We've been updated that episodes 9 & 10 will be delayed internationally due to the French Open airing on Japanese TV. Once there's info on new broadcast/simulcast times, we'll let you know!” the Tweet reads. “For now, if you haven't caught up yet, this is your chance!”

For now, if you haven't caught up yet, this is your chance!
As sad as this news might be to fans of “Fruits Basket” 2019, it can be argued that the anime is worth the wait. Every episode, thus far, has impressed viewers new and old. Those who loved the original are simply praising the reboot to high heavens thanks to the charming way in which it retells the story of Tohru and friends.
So, instead of June 1 and 8, the two episodes of “Fruits Basket” 2019 will be airing a little later. The specific dates have yet to be revealed, but this does present new viewers with the opportunity to catch up. The first eight episodes of the anime are available for viewing both on Funimation and Crunchyroll. Those are the official portals for the anime and how international fans can best support the show.
