“Fuller House” season 4 is going to be exciting for many fans. For the most part, that is because of Kimmy Gibbler’s (Andrea Barber) pregnancy and the thrill of guessing if she ends up giving birth to Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and Jimmy's (Adam Hagenbuch) triplets.
Other stories that will unfold in “Fuller House” season 4 are still under wraps. But cast members previously hinted that most of the season will be focused on Kimmy’s pregnancy. And based on Barber’s recently shared behind-the-scenes photos, it looks like she is still pregnant until the finale episode.
Candace Cameron Bure, who portrays DJ Tanner, previously confirmed that her character and Steve (Scott Weinger) will finally be together as a couple in “Fuller House” season 4. However, Bure reiterated that their love story will not be the center of the series. Bure told E! in July that Kimmy’s pregnancy is definitely the “focus” of the show.
Before Kimmy became pregnant, Stephanie’s struggle and difficulty in having babies became one of the dramatic highlights in season 3. After realizing how much she wants to have her children, just like DJ, Stephanie and Jimmy decided to look for a surrogate. In the end, Kimmy agreed to take on the role so she is pregnant with her niece or nephew in “Fuller House” season 4.
Since then, the show has hinted at the possibility that Kimmy will eventually give birth to more than one child in “Fuller House” season 4.
In an earlier report, Bustle pointed out how the season 3 episode 16 script declared that “Stephanie's embryos” have been implanted in Kimmy. The same report noted that, in real life, doctors recommend implanting up to three embryos for a higher success rate with in vitro fertilization (IVF) procedures. But since this is a TV show, there is a great chance that the story will maximize that and introduce up to three new babies in the Tanner-Gibbler extended family.
Netflix ordered for 18 episodes for “Fuller House” season 4, as in the previous season. While Barber’s social media post hinted that they have wrapped up in filming, the show’s official return is still unknown.
