George Clooney reportedly left his wife and took off with their toddler twins because he got very concerned when Amal Alamuddin filed cases against the ISIS, a known group of terrorists. The “Batman” actor was said to have fled to a safe house to protect his kids from terrorist threats.
It was added that Clooney and Alamuddin are set to face to multi-million divorce case over the latter’s political works that put the whole family at risk of being the terrorist group’s target. Late last month, the actor admitted that he is very concerned for their safety, especially his twins because they are now vulnerable to attacks.
"My wife is taking the first case against ISIS to court, so we have plenty of issues – real, proper security issues – that we have to deal with on a fairly daily basis," the 58-year-old actor said during an interview in an episode of The Hollywood Reporter's 'Awards Chatter' podcast. "We don't really want our kids to be targets, so we have to pay attention to that."
Based on interviews with Yazidi female refugees, Human Rights Watch concluded in 2015 that ISIS had operated a "system of organized rape and sexual assault, sexual slavery, and forced marriage."
George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin’s safety concerns began when the latter asked the United Nation's Security Council to bring the ISIS in Syria and Iraq to trial for their violations against women that include rape and sexual slavery. She said that if the U.N. cannot prevent abuses in wartime situations, then they could at least seek justice for the victims by punishing the terrorists.
Now, the National Enquirer put a spin in the story and alleged that because of his wife’s involvement in the case against the Islamic extremists, he is seeking divorce. “George is livid that his wife’s hard-charging efforts for human rights have left their own children at risk,” the tipster said. “It’s been a tough few months for George and Amal. Anyone can see that, and the last thing their marriage needed right now was more stress and tension thrown into it. It will be a miracle if they survive this.”
While it is true that Amal Alamuddin went against the ISIS by asking the U.N. to punish them for their crimes, the divorce part with George Clooney is false. The pair is still going strong, and they are working for their family’s security together as the actor supports his wife’s endeavors in cases against human rights.
