When is “High School Musical 4” coming? This is the question that many fans have been asking since Disney announced in 2016 that the fourth movie sequel has been approved. The good news is that the plans finally took off as the pre-production started early this year at last.
With this progress, there is no backing down now and the “High School Musical 4” is definitely coming soon. More details about the movie sequel have also emerged since it is already in the works.
One of the first to be confirmed is the cast. While most of the fans want to see the movie’s original characters, it was revealed that they will be not be included in “High School Musical 4” anymore. The sequel will present a whole new batch of characters to be played by new artists as well.
Disney unveiled the cast members in February and the kids were chosen after strict auditions. Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens will definitely not be in “High School Musical 4” but would they agree if asked to appear as a guest?
The actor said that he is willing to be in the movie for a cameo role and if he will indeed be asked, the guess is that he could appear as an advisor to the teens or perhaps, an alumna of the school. With his age now, it is also possible to even be a dad of one of the new characters!
As for Hudgens, she already said “no” even if there is no offer yet for her to appear in “High School Musical 4.” The 30-year-old actress explained that she will refuse because she has gotten a lot older now.
“I mean, I’m 28,” Hudgens told E! News in 2017. “I could be a teacher, but I refuse to be a teacher! I’m still a teenager at heart. So probably not with me, but I’m excited to see what they whip together.”
In any case, while the cast is different now, the “High School Musical 4” will still highlight the rivalry between the East High Wildcats and West High’s Knights. It will start filming in 2020 in Pennsylvania.
