As a part of the acquisition deal, HoopSwagg will continue to operate the TheSockGame.com website, which was considered one of two companies to enter the premium sock customization space early on. The brand has not only been known for its creativity and innovation, but they have also built one of the largest social media followings in the space. In addition to the acquisition, HoopSwagg has also added 200 new designs to total over 500 designs printed on HoopSwagg, Notion™ and premium branded athletic socks.
"We are extremely excited to carry on the TheSockGame.com brand, which has been a major player in defining the market for custom socks. In 6 years, they have amassed an incredibly loyal following largely due to their innovation, product quality, premium designs, and legendary promotions," said Brennan Agranoff, Founder and CEO of HoopSwagg. "With the addition of 200+ designs and a premium sock line from TheSockGame.com line, HoopSwagg is well positioned to expand our reach and better meet the growing demand we see for direct retail, custom team socks, and custom elite socks for fundraising."
According to a recent study, "Socks Market: Global industry analysis and forecast 2016 - 2026," athletic socks are one of the two main variants that capture the largest market share, due to their diverse application: for sport and casual wear. Another key socks market driver is the push towards making socks a fashion statement.
