Intel has unveiled its 11th Generation Core mobile PC “Tiger Lake” processors that will feature newly-integrated Xe graphics, Wi-Fi 6, Thunderbolt 4 support, and a big leap in performance and battery life.
The 11th Gen Intel Core processors optimize power efficiency while running at significantly higher frequencies compared to prior generations.
It will deliver up to 2.7 times faster content creation, more than 20 percent faster office productivity, and at least two times quicker gaming plus streaming in real-world workflows over competitive products.
Gregory Bryant, Intel executive vice president and GM of the Client Computing Group, described the 11th Gen Intel Core processors with Intel Iris Xe graphics as the best laptop processors they have built and a major leap forward in real-world processor performance.
Over 150 designs based on 11th Gen Intel Core processors are expected from various companies, including Samsung's Galaxy Book Flex 5G and Acer's Swift 5 and Swift 3.
The company also unveiled the Intel Evo platform brand for laptop designs verified to the second-edition specification and key experience indicators) of the Project Athena innovation program.
Intel also revealed new features in the pipeline, such as the capability of using up to four 4K HDR displays at once and support for 8K HDR displays.
The company's built-in artificial intelligence engine was also upgraded with improvements to video calls geared for those continuing to working or studying remotely.
