In a bold twist on the classic sandwich, Jimmy John’s has launched The Picklewich, replacing traditional bread with oversized kosher dill pickle slices. Available through November 14, this limited-time menu item caters to pickle fans with two sandwich variations and a side of signature Pickle Jimmy Chips.
Jimmy John’s Picklewich Offers Salami or Turkey Options, Paired with Signature Pickle Chips
Jimmy John’s has introduced a unique new sandwich that swaps traditional bread for oversized slices of pickles. On October 24, the popular sandwich chain unveiled this limited-time menu item: The Picklewich. Unlike typical sandwiches, The Picklewich layers its fillings between two halves of a kosher dill pickle.
According to a press release, The Picklewich comes in two variations. The first, The Vito Picklewich, features salami, capocollo, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, oil & vinegar, and a sprinkle of oregano-basil. The second option, The Turkey Picklewich, includes premium turkey slices, provolone, lettuce, and tomato, all nestled within the pickle halves.
Each Picklewich comes with a bag of Jimmy John’s signature Pickle Jimmy Chips, seasoned to deliver a “salty, sour, dilly, and delicious pickle flavor,” according to the press release. The Picklewich officially launches on October 28 and will be available until November 14, coinciding with National Pickle Day.
Exclusive Rewards: Jimmy John’s Offers 50% Off Picklewich and Combo Upgrades for Members
For Jimmy John’s rewards program members, the company is offering a 50% discount on The Picklewich by purchasing any eight-inch sandwich on National Sandwich Day, November 3. Additionally, rewards members who order an eight-inch sandwich after 2 p.m. can upgrade to a combo with chips and a drink for free through the end of December.
According to the Independent, this pickle-centric menu addition follows a trend sparked by a similar pickle sandwich that gained popularity at Seven Brothers Gourmet Food Market in Long Island earlier this year. After a viral TikTok video featuring the sandwich garnered widespread attention, demand surged, with some customers waiting in lines wrapping around the store.
Jimmy John’s is now tapping into the pickle craze with The Picklewich, offering a new way to enjoy classic sandwich flavors without the bread—just in time for pickle enthusiasts nationwide to indulge in a fun twist on the classic sandwich.
