KFC Cooks Up Fried Chicken that Perfectly Pairs with Alcoholic Drinks in Japan

KFC Japan created another innovative flavor to make beer-drinking even better.

KFC has created another innovative flavor for its fried chicken range in Japan. After introducing the spicy miso version of its signature chicken menu earlier this month, the fast-food chain is releasing another creation that many Japanese people would love.

KFC Japan just developed a crispy fried chicken variant that will go perfectly with beer and other alcoholic beverages. The restaurant is set to roll out its new Ninniku Crispy chicken as it never stops innovating its menu lineup. According to Sora News24, the latest product is coming to KFC stores in the country this week.

The Making of the Ninniku Crispy Chicken Dish

KFC Japan revealed its new Ninniku Crispy menu on Wednesday, Nov. 27. The company said it was specially seasoned with spices and ingredients to go well with alcoholic drinks. The product will taste even better when eaten with beer and the like.

Still, the base of KFC Japan’s Ninniku Crispy is still Colonel Sander’s signature crispy recipe. The chain added extra garlic, which is called ninniku in Japanese; thus, it is the name of the new chicken option. The brand’s food developer also included soy sauce and completed the flavor with garlic-flavored oil sauce as another layer of coating, as per Trend Hunter.

KFC said the outcome of the ingredient combinations is a fried chicken that is ideal for alcoholic beverages. The timing of Ninniku Crispy’s launch is also perfect as the holiday season begins - a time when year-end parties are scheduled left and right.

Prices and Available Packages

KFC Japan will sell Ninniku Crispy in “Cheers Bucket” or Kanpai Barrel for ¥1,680 or $11.20. This contains three pieces of Ninniku chicken and four Original Recipe variants. For customers who prefer to have just the new flavor, they can order three pieces for ¥600 or ¥290 per piece.
