KFC Korea introduces a new kind of flavor based on the current craze in the country. The fried chicken fast-food chain is pairing its famous Colonel Sanders fried chicken with a Mint Chocolate Dipping Sauce!
As per The Korea Herald, the unique dipping sauce flavor is part of KFC Korea’s seasonal collaboration with Baemin, a local food delivery app company. The color of the sauce is also the trademark shade being used by Baemin in its business.
Customers will be able to taste KFC Korea’s mint chocolate dipping sauce starting Aug. 8. While there may be a few locations that will not have this sauce, the fast-food chain is releasing it in all of its branches across the country.
The fried chicken dipping sauce that is raising curiosity was described to offer a sweet and rich chocolate taste combined with a fresh mint flavor. The result is the choco-minty taste similar to the choco-mint candies.
For its new offering, an official of KFC Korea said, “We hope people can have a brand new KFC experience with the Baemin mint chocolate set menus which consist of KFC’s popular chicken and burgers.”
Customers can get the mint chocolate dipping sauce when they order combo meals. It can also be purchased separately through KFC Korea’s delivery app or in the store. Haps Korea reported that KFC Korea is offering two kinds of mint chocolate dipping sauce, and these are the “I am Minchodan Pack” priced at KRW14,900 and “Mincho Easy Pack,” which is KRW17,900.
At any rate, the release of this mint green sauce comes as the retail industry in the country is taking advantage of the growing popularity of mint chocolate. In fact, many other major companies in Korea, such as Orion, Starbucks Korea, Haitai Confectionery and Foods, and more, have already launched their own mint chocolate flavored products.
EconoTimes reported last year that the mint chocolate flavor has been trending, and the craze continued up to this time. As proof of the fad, regardless of what product a company is offering, it will try to produce something that is choco mint flavor, and fortunately, people are patronizing these innovative items.
