As popular anime series come back with news seasons this fall, fans received more bits of good news when it was finally confirmed that “Kaguya-sama: Love is War” season 2 will go on air. However, the duration of waiting for new episodes is still a mystery, so avid fans of the series might want to relive the funny and romantic moments from season 1.
'Kaguya-sama: Love is War' season 2 release date still unknown
Producers have yet to announce the specific release date of “Kaguya-sama: Love is War” season 2, and that could make many fans a little bit more anxious. One good way to remedy that is by watching reruns of the first season.
Thanks to the advent of streaming platforms, fans can do that without having to track down each episode's air time. Those who refuse to read the manga series can make the wait for “Kaguya-sama: Love is War” season 2 by getting a Netflix subscription because all episodes of season 1 are now streaming on this service. Note, though, that its availability is limited to some regions mostly in Asia including Japan, India, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, and Thailand.
When “Kaguya-sama: Love is War” season 2 was announced last month, even a release date window within 2020 was not mentioned. So, technically, it is still unknown whether the anime series could return with new episodes by next year.
However, the confirmation of “Kaguya-sama: Love is War” season 2 indicates that its production has also started there is a huge chance for the second installment to premiere next year. But without an official announcement, it is still best to expect a 2020 release date with a grain of salt.
'Kaguya-sama: Love is War' season 2 plot: What to expect
The series is based on the same title manga created by Aka Akasaka and revolves around the unique love story between Kaguya and Miyuki. They are the top students in their school and are currently holding the top highest positions in the student council.
However, this status has also given them too much pride to admit they like each other. They both believe that being the first one to succumb to their feelings shows weakness. The same premise can be expected in “Kaguya-sama: Love is War” season 2. But the characters will later develop into the people who would become less afraid of being true to how they feel.
