Kate Middleton and Prince William were rumored to be heading for divorce. The latest news is that the prince cheated on the Duchess of Cambridge so this led to the decision to separate. However, it was reported that the couple cannot simply call it quits because Queen Elizabeth must approve it first.
This means that even the Duchess and Duke of Cambridge decided to file for divorce, they cannot do so without the Queen’s consent. If this is the case, it is likely that they will not be allowed to break up their marriage at all.
According to UK’s Express, Queen Elizabeth was so fed up with the divorce controversies inside the royal family that prior to his proposal to Kate Middleton, the Royal Matriarch already warned her grandson that she will not allow a divorce so he must be very sure if he wants to settle already.
"She is adamant that there are going to be no further royal divorces during her reign," the insider told the publication. "The monarch told her grandson to choose his partner very wisely because she felt 'enough was enough' in terms of royal divorces."
Queen Elizabeth clearly does not want Prince William and Kate Middleton to join the list of royal breakups and failed marriages that already shattered the families of Princess Margaret, Prince Andrew and Prince Charles. "The Queen is the head of the Church and so from a point of principle she is opposed to royal divorces," the source added.
The Queen witnessed enough heartaches that she does not want more members of her family to go through the same heartbreaks. Meanwhile, Prince William and Kate Middleton’s cheating rumors were already debunked by Kensington thus the divorce rumors are clearly false since there is no basis for the separation.
