Kia’s EV4 is officially on its way for 2025, promising to disrupt the entry-level EV market with bold design, cutting-edge technology, and starting prices around $30,000. Positioned as part of Kia’s push for “EVs for all,” the EV4 blends affordability with futuristic features.
Kia's Affordable EV4 Set for 2025 Debut
Finally, the long-awaited electric vehicle is on its way. As part of its push toward more reasonably priced electric vehicles, Kia has announced that the EV4 will formally join its portfolio in 2025.
One of the new, more affordable electric vehicles from Kia, the EV4, was launched last October. There were three electric vehicle concepts on display: the larger EV4, the more compact EV3, and the more compact EV5.
The EV4 has four doors, but its long body and daring proportions make it "an entirely new type of EV sedan," according to Kia. It almost looks like a racecar with the roof spoiler. Starting prices will likely be significantly cheaper than those of conventional sports cars, though, since this is a member of Kia's new mass-market electric vehicle portfolio.
Kia EV4 and EV5 to Strengthen Electric Vehicle Lineup
Kia announced the EV4's official release date for 2025 after disclosing sales data for November on Monday. "Strengthen our electric vehicle lineup with the EV4 and EV5" will be the company's goals for next year, according to a Kia official.
Last November, Kia debuted the EV5 in China, where it was priced at roughly $20,000 (149,800 yuan). It retails for around $57,000 in international countries such as Australia.
The EV3 is expanding into new markets following its domestic launch this summer. With prices beginning at a low of $30,700 (KRW 42.08 million), Kia has begun orders for the EV3 in Korea. The price of the small electric SUV drops below $30,000 (KRW 39.95 million) after discounts.
EV3 and EV4: Expanding Global Reach
With prices beginning at approximately $38,000 (36,000 euros), Kia debuted the EV3 in Europe last month. The base price of an EV3 in the United Kingdom is $42,500 (£32,995), and it has been on sale since August.
By releasing the EV4 in 2025, Kia will have finished its "EVs for all" plan by offering affordable electric cars, crossovers, and SUVs, Electrek points out. Along with the larger three-row EV9 and Kia's existing EV6 and EV5, the new EV3, EV4, and EV5 will join the roster to create a diverse range of electric vehicles priced from $30,000 to $80,000.
Just one month before its scheduled debut, the EV4 was discovered conducting tests in the United States. There was also a hatchback type that was spotted in the wild. Even though it's probably headed for Europe, last month it was spotted testing on US streets.
Advanced Tech and Competitive Pricing for EV4
The newest ccNC infotainment system, developed by Kia, will be standard on the base electric car. It comes with two 12.3-inch screens for the driver and navigator.
Next year, Kia will unveil the EV4, and by the end of 2025, deliveries will have begun. You should anticipate to pay between $30,000 and $40,000, give or take, depending on the market.
The EV3 is likewise anticipated to make its US debut next year by Kia. The more affordable electric crossover was spotted on American roadways not long ago. The price range is probably going to be between $30,000 and $35,000.
Kia aims to sell 1.6 million electric vehicles by 2030, a goal powered by the introduction of models like the EV4, EV3, and EV9.
