Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering Co. (KSOE) was awarded deals worth 348 billion won to build six ships for Liberian, Asian, and Oceanian companies.
Under the deal, Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Co. will deliver a 91,000-cubic-meter liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) carrier for the Liberian company starting in the first half of 2023.
For the Asian company, Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries will also build an 86,000-cubic-meter LPG carrier while Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co. will construct the two 50,000-ton petrochemicals carriers.
It would also be Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co. build two 2,800 twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU) container carriers for the Oceanian company, with a delivery date of April 2023.
KSOE is the holding company of three shipbuilders, also including Hyundai Heavy Industries Co.
