Lady Gaga has consistently been a pioneering figure in pop culture, and it would seem that this prowess could also extend to her travels.
Pop Sensation Lady Gaga Takes a Spin in the Tesla Cybertruck
The pop icon is seen in new photographs driving one of the coveted and brand-new Tesla Cybertrucks. Gaga was seen in images shared on X exiting a Whole Foods Market with several cups of coffee and boarding the opulent new truck's passenger seat.
It appears that early access to the truck was restricted to those with extensive connections, as Tesla commences customer deliveries of the vehicle in November. Serena Williams' spouse, cofounder of Reddit, Alexis Ohanian, was among the fortunate patrons. In the interim, while Spike Lee and other celebrities were still on the waitlist, Business Insider previously reported.
Lady Gaga has been in a romantic relationship with tech executive Michael Polansky since 2020. Reportedly, the two were spotted cuddling while rooting for the San Francisco 49ers at the Super Bowl. Former Facebook president and cofounder of Napster Sean Parker is Polansky's employer. Reportedly, Gaga and Polansky became acquainted via Parker.
Thus, it is plausible that the Cybertruck Lady Gaga entered was Polansky's. In the past, the two have been observed operating earlier variants of Tesla.
On Friday, a request for comment via social media was not promptly responded to for Polansky.
Previous reports from Business Insider indicated that the various models of the vehicle are priced between $66,990 and nearly $100,000. According to Tesla CEO Elon Musk, the vehicle is "virtually bulletproof" due to its "ultrahard" stainless steel exterior.
However, not all individuals are ecstatic about the new vehicles; some claim they lack weatherproofing. According to some owners, two days in the rain was sufficient time for their brand-new pickups to develop orange rust spots.
Tesla Cybertruck's Grand Entrance in Tokyo Marks a Milestone in Global Tour
The Tesla Cybertruck completed its tour of Asia with its most recent visit in Tokyo on Friday, as per Teslarati.
The Cybertruck made its inaugural appearance in Japan, and the display event that welcomed it was a resounding success, attracting Tesla enthusiasts from throughout the nation who came to catch a glimpse of the pickup that may never be available for purchase in the area.
Tesla published images of admirers examining and savoring the view from the Cybertruck, shipments of which commenced in November in the United States.
Tesla announced in mid-January that a tour of the Cybertruck was scheduled to commence in China and is anticipated to continue until March 31.
The Cybertruck, which had arrived in China during the last week of January, subsequently traveled to several communities throughout the nation. Prior to its debut in Tokyo, the pickup was displayed in Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Xi'an, and Chongqing. In Japan, the pickup was delivered to Chengdu.
As he noted on the company's Q4 earnings call, Elon Musk suggested that Tesla and the company's CEO may be utilizing the Cybertruck to stimulate sales in Japan, where they are "remarkably low."
"We should at least have a market share proportionate to other non-Japanese carmakers like Mercedes or BMW, which we do not currently have," Musk said.
Hybrid vehicles are more popular than electric vehicles (EVs) in Japan due to their dependability, while the charging infrastructure for EVs is not yet at a level that satisfies consumers.
