‘Lethal Weapon’ season 1’s episode 11, titled "Lawmen," is set to feature Murtaugh and Riggs as they clash with the L.A. Sheriff’s department over the death of a Texas Ranger.
The synopsis for episode 11 posted on TV.com reads, “Murtaugh (Damon Wayans) and Riggs (Clayne Crawford) square off with the L.A. Sheriff's department when their investigation into the death of a Texas Ranger leads them to a possible misuse of power. The case also surfaces a dark secret from Capt. Avery's (Kevin Rahm) past.”
Murtaugh and Riggs will have to deal with peers from the L.A. Sheriff Department when they are led to believe that there is a possible misuse of authority following the killing of a Texas Ranger. The two will work on a probe of their own, presumably with their occasional disregard for protocol in order to find evidence leading to the guilty party.
However, just as they are about to crack the case wide open thinking that they have finally found their culprit, things become more complicated when Capt. Avery’s dark secret from the past comes out in the open.
The promo for “Lawmen” featured Murtaugh and Riggs on the trail of a possible inside job as they investigate the death of a Texas Ranger. Murtaugh tells his wife Trish (Keesha Sharp), “These just aren’t corrupt cops, they’re killers,” referring to Texas Rangers.
According to Yahoo! News, Malcolm-Jamal Warner is set to guest star in the new episode as David Reed, a stern captain of the L.A. Sheriff’s department dedicated to protecting his own men as well as his own career. Warner is best known for his work on the sitcoms ‘The Cosby Show,’ ‘Malcom & Eddie,’ and ‘Reed Between the Lines.’ He also starred in ‘American Crime Story’ as former American football player AI ‘A.C.’ Cowlings.
‘Lethal Weapon’ season 1’s episode 11, titled "Lawmen," is scheduled to air on Fox on January 11, 2017. It will be followed by episode 12, titled "Brotherly Love," scheduled for January 18.
