Lucid Motors has launched the order page for its new Gravity SUV, priced at $94,900 for the Grand Touring trim. Boasting 828 horsepower, a range of over 440 miles, and seating for up to seven, the Gravity SUV aims to rival the Tesla Model X and Rivian R1S.
Lucid Gravity SUV Boasts 440-Mile Range, 828 HP, and Spacious Seating for Seven
The Gravity SUV configurator, Lucid Motors' newest product, is operational. The vehicle's order page shows that only the Grand Touring trim level is presently offered. The all-electric luxury SUV has a starting price of $94,900 and a maximum equipped price of approximately $126,500, per Teslarati.
Lucid Gravity is the second automobile in the luxury electric car manufacturer's lineup. Like the Lucid Air car, the Gravity SUV has an extended range of more than 440 miles between charges. Additionally, it has 828 horsepower and, depending on the arrangement, up to 120 cubic feet of payload space. Lucid added that because the Gravity was an SUV, it could comfortably accommodate seven adults if necessary.
Lucid Gravity Grand Touring Launches at $94,900, Positioned to Compete with Tesla and Rivian
According to Lucid, the Gravity will be offered in two different versions. The standard Touring trim will go on sale in late 2025 for an approximate starting price of $79,900. Only the Gravity Grand Touring, which starts at $94,900, is now offered. Lucid still needs to list the Gravity SUV's anticipated delivery date.
The Rivian R1S and the Tesla Model X are two high-end all-electric SUVs with which the Lucid Gravity is anticipated to compete. The Gravity Grand Touring is marginally less expensive than the Tesla Model X Plaid, which has a starting price of $94,990, at $94,900. Additionally, the Gravity is less costly than the Gen 2 Rivian R1S Tri, with a starting price of roughly $105,900. However, it needs to be clarified whether Lucid Gravity could compete with the power and technology of the Model X Plaid or the off-road capabilities of the Gen 2 R1S Tri.
Though EV veteran Kyle Conner from Out of Spec Studios noted that some relatively basic features, like lane centering, found in affordable EVs like the Model 3 are bundled with optional packs in the Lucid Gravity, social media enthusiasts for electric vehicles have expressed a great deal of excitement for the car.
