Will there be no reconciliation between former friends and partners Lucifer (Tom Ellis) and Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt)? A new set of still photos showing a bloody encounter obtained by Just Jared suggests so.
In the photos, Ellis and Brandt looks like filming for a fight scene. Lucifer is seen in his trademark, blue sleek suit, but with a head wound. Maze, on the other hand, looked roughened up, with blood on her face and wild hair. At one point, photos caught the actors resting in between takes. Ellis donned a comfy jacket while Brandt wore a red, fur-lined parka. A couple of photos showed the two hamming it up before jumping into the next scene.
Since taking up residency on Earth, Lucifer’s relationship with his former assistant has gone to the dogs. In Season 2, Episode 12, The AV Club said Maze seems to have an understanding of what she needs to do to maintain and assert her independence from her former boss. However, Charlotte Richards aka Lucifer’s mom (Tricia Helfer) pointed it out to Maze that even if the latter has cold feet, trying to take Lucifer away, or refuse to say anything, Maze will always be Lucifer’s best friend.
The upcoming Episode 13, which will be the last episode to be aired on January 30th before the show takes a break, will definitely show whether Maze will follow through with what Charlotte revealed to her. Showbiz Junkies noted in the show preview that Episode 13 will feature Lucifer dealing with his situation with Chloe (Laura German), who has been suffering from poison in Episode 12. Considering the fact that Episode 13’s title is “A Good Day to Die,” we’re pretty sure Lucifer will need his best friend to deal.
