“Lucifer” Season 4 is a much-awaited installment for the series as it was originally canceled by FOX. There are a few reasons why the network decided to drop the show but the major factor was because of packed schedules, Daily Express reported.
Fortunately, Netflix decided to pick it up but considerably lowered the series’ episodes. “Lucifer” Season 4 will only have 10 episodes but will run around 40 minutes as confirmed by co-showrunner Joe Henderson.
But what fans are truly asking is how are the writers going to handle the plotline moving forward. Last season’s finale showed that Chloe (Lauren German) finally got to see Lucifer’s (Tom Ellis) true nature. Although the detective did suspect that something supernatural surrounds the LAPD consultant, this was the first time that she actually saw Lucifer’s devil face. “Lucifer” Season 4 has a lot of questions to answer and it will be exciting to see how Chloe and Lucifer’s relationship will develop after this revelation.
The previous installments have already established the unlikely bond between the two. Will this bond be shattered in “Lucifer” Season 4? That remains to be seen. Chloe’s personality has always been portrayed as the opposite of Lucifer. While the detective does her work by the books, Lucifer has time and again employed a rather unorthodox method of dealing with cases.
And since Chloe’s guidebook doesn’t exactly show how to deal with the Lord of Hell himself, she’s going to have a difficult time processing this new information. There will also be quite a few awkward moments between the pair as Chloe has been shown to repeatedly flirt with Lucifer in the past. Will she tease him again in “Lucifer” Season 4 now that she knows she’s been with the Devil the entire time?
That’s still unknown at the moment as showrunners are keeping everything under wraps. Even the release date of the next installment hasn’t been revealed yet. Right now, all Netflix has said is that “Lucifer” Season 4 will air on 2019. The fourth installment is scheduled to finish filming in December and it will enter post-production after that.
