Brian Austin Green and Megan Fox had finally ended their marriage as confirmed by the Beverly Hills 90210 alum.
While the news shocked most of their fans, an insider told OK! on its June 8, 2020 issue that the breakup was inevitable.
The two have been married for almost 10 years already and have three children—Noah 7, Bodhi 6, and Journey, 6.
The insider added that those who are close to the couple saw the separation coming, that while they started out being very much in love with each other, they eventually drifted apart and are now two very different persons from who they were when they first met.
They were dating on and off since 2004 before they tied the knot in 2010. In 2015, Megan had filed for divorce but they eventually reconciled after she got pregnant with their third child.
The insider further dished to OK! that Brian initially believed that they could patch things up and that they would be back in each other's arm but for Megan, it was really the end of the line.
According to the insider, she has been unhappy for quite awhile already and she had realized that she wanted something else.
And, just a few days after their split was confirmed, Megan was seen out and about with Machine Gun Kelly.
An OK! source said that the 30-year-old rapper met the 34-year-old actress on the set of Midnight in the Switchgrass, an upcoming film. The rapper was said to have made his move on Megan when he heard that the couple was having a break.
Brian has been vocal that he trusts Megan's choice but the insider claimed that he is gutted over Megan and Machine Gun Kelly.
Whatever happens, the insider said that Brian and Megan will always put their children first.
