Engaged couple Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara are expecting their first child.
According to the June 1, 2020 issue of the In Touch magazine, Rooney could already be six months pregnant.
An insider told the weekly magazine that the couple who got engaged July of 2019 have not been seen out lately.
Rooney, however, has been spotted donning baggy tops on a few times she has been seen out.
The insider said that it is unlikely that both Joaquin and Rooney will give details about the baby as they are both very private.
The two met in 2012 at the set of the Spike Jonze film, Her.
The 45-year-old Joaquin had revealed that Rooney was the only woman that he had ever looked up on the internet.
He, however, wrongfully assumed that the 35-year-old Rooney despised him. It turned out that Rooney also liked him except that she was really shy. But all is well now as the couple expects their first child together.
The insider further added that the baby may not have been planned but it does not appear to be a problem with Rooney being open lately to motherhood.
This after Rooney's sister, Kate, gave birth to her own child last year and changed her life.
Despite being very private, Joaquin had put the limelight on their relationship when he thanked Rooney in his acceptance speeches after he received several awards this year for his starring role in the Joker.
After the film Her, they became friends. They reunited for the film Mary Magdalene in 2016 and it was after wrapping up that film that they started dating.
They announced their relationship to the world when they sat beside each other in the 2017 Cannes Film Festival.
We will have to wait for either Joaquin or Rooney to reveal the gender of their baby.
