As the newest member of the British Royal Family, it’s only natural that Meghan Markle would attract a substantial level of scrutiny. The latest subject that tabloids are placing the former actress under a microscope for is her relationship with Queen Elizabeth. Some magazines are claiming that Her Royal Majesty does not accept the Duchess of Sussex.
It would seem that this latest round of tabloid gossip comes from Star, Gossip Cop reports, which claims that Queen Elizabeth has been giving Meghan Markle the cold shoulder. The magazine said that the former “Suits” actress is finding life in the palace to be hell. It even claimed that she was suffering from “feelings of frustration, exhaustion and sadness,” none of which could be corroborated.
The tabloid went on to cite several other dubious claims, from a supposed “bulletproof prenup” that the queen forced the new royal couple to sign, to Meghan Markle being constantly criticized for her origins. It’s worth pointing out here that the royal family does not impose prenuptial agreements and there have been no indications that the Duchess of Sussex was being mistreated.
Meanwhile, more credible publications such as People recently reported the opposite of what this new tabloid gossip was indicating. Meghan Markle has a great relationship with the royal family, including Queen Elizabeth and her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton. One of these publications is telling a fib, and it is not the one that has earned a reputation for accurate journalism.
All in all, the only real confirmed issue that Meghan Markle has actually had to contend with is keeping her political opinions in check, the International Business Times reports. This makes a lot of sense since the actress has always been a vocal figure in supporting women’s rights. Now that she’s a member of the royal family, she needs to be more careful about how she talks about such issues.
