President Donald Trump has been a well-known man in the business and entertainment industry, even before he started pursuing his political endeavors. Meanwhile, First Lady Melania Trump was a fashion model when she met her now-husband. Given their former jobs, it is not surprising to hear stories from actors and celebrities of their interesting encounters with the current first couple.
The latest one to share his experience upon meeting the Trumps is actor Woody Harrelson. The way he told the story of his dinner meeting with the Trump couple was not surprising. But he shared an interesting account that in the more than two hours they spent having dinner, Mr. Trump had reportedly dominated the entire conversation.
Melania Trump barely had the chance to talk, actor claims
The story was revealed in Harrelson’s profile interview with Esquire. Mr. Trump reportedly invited former pro wrestler and Minnesota governor Jesse Venture, who then invited Harrelson. The “Now You See Me” star said it would have only been fair if each person on that dinner table managed to contribute 25 percent of the conversation. But that was not the case.
Harrelson said Ventura probably accounted for the 3 percent, him for the 1 percent, and Mrs. Trump only 0.1 percent. “[Donald] Trump took the rest,” Harrelson recalled.
Harrelson reveals interesting comment Donald Trump made about his children
The “True Detective” alum further described the dinner in question as a “monologue monopoly” implying that Mr. Trump hogged almost the entire conversation that the actor said probably lasted around two and a half hours. But the most interesting part of Harrelson’s story was what Mr. Trump commented about his net worth and his children.
Many people do not feel comfortable talking about how much money they made. But then Mr. Trump is not like many people. At the same dinner, Harrelson recalled saying he is probably worth $4 billion to $5 billion. Regardless of how much fortune he has, the 45th U.S. President reportedly said at the time that he believes his children would fight over the money he would leave once he passes away. Though it was a dark comment to make over dinner, Harrelson noted it seemed like Mr. Trump’s truest words that evening.
