Over the years, United States First Lady Melania Trump’s American citizenship was questioned, more so how she managed to get it. According to a new report, Melania revealed that she obtained her ‘Einstein-visa’ via her success as a fashion model.
Politicalflare reports that back in 2000, Melania was applying for citizenship in America, all the while she was dating Donald for over a year since meeting back in 1998. The visa she was applying for was the so-called “Einstein visa” or the EB-1, which is usually given to those who have extraordinary abilities, such as scientists, Pulitzer or Nobel prize winners, Olympians, professors, researchers, and multi-national managers.
It was recently revealed that while Melania was in New York, pursuing her modeling career, she never quite got to ‘supermodel status’ or reached the likes of Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington, Tyra Banks, Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, and Linda Evangelista to name a few. But that is not to say Melania never received any high-profile bookings, as she was featured in a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, as well as an ad for Camel cigarettes. A former roommate of the First Lady back in New York, photographer Matthew Atanian, previously revealed to Vanity Fair that she was never a supermodel, but she was a disciplined one, and that her modeling career was somewhat winding down, almost in a decline when she met Donald.
Melania claimed that because of her success as a model that she was able to obtain the EB-1 visa. That remains to be clarified and it does not look like she nor her husband are adamant to tell everyone how she got her citizenship.
This is not the only thing that people question about the First Lady, but her efforts in being original as well. Melania was previously faced with plagiarism accusations before, the example being a big part of her speech during the Republican National Convention being copied word-per-word from her immediate predecessor former First Lady Michelle Obama. Now, Melania is being mocked on social media again, due to the design of the US Space Force Logo, which looks very similar to the Starfleet Command logo on Star Trek.
Many netizens joked that perhaps Melania had a hand in coming up with the logo. Her fashion choices during inauguration day back in 2017 were also questioned as the First Lady was wearing an ensemble that looked almost identical to what another one of her predecessors, Jackie Kennedy wore.
