The family of Michael Schumacher stands by their decision that all official information about the Formula One racing legend’s medical recovery should be kept in private. However, a relative was recently quoted in a report sharing how Schumacher is very appreciative whenever he sees the beauty of nature.
Reports spotted a story published by the French Magazine Paris Match where a family member gave updates about Michael Schumacher’s latest condition. However, the person interviewed by the paper seemed to have requested anonymity as no specific names were given in the reports. It should also be noted that this recent information purportedly came from someone outside the racing champion’s immediate family.
The unidentified relative was quoted by Paris Match saying, “When you put him in his wheelchair facing the beautiful panorama of the mountains overlooking the lake, Michael sometimes cries.” While no specific health update was provided, the statement is apparently hinting that Schumacher is continuously on the path of recovery and is no longer restricted to a bed rest.
Notably, Michael Schumacher’s family is also living in Gland, Switzerland, on a property that is said to be overlooking Lake Geneva. This is good news for fans hoping that Schumacher recovers fast. Since the relative claims that nature’s beauty makes Schumacher feel better, he is lucky to have access to one beautiful sight.
Meanwhile, it can also be recalled that a 2015 report from the Italian paper Corriere della Sera said Schumacher remained grateful despite his accident's aftermath. The said report claimed at the time that Schumacher was often filled with emotions upon seeing or hearing the voices of his wife and his children.
The 49-year-old retired German racing driver had a total of 21 years in his professional career that officially ended in 2012. In December 2013, Michael Schumacher was on a holiday vacation with his family at the French Alps when he met the tragic skiing accident. Despite his severe head injuries, Schumacher fortunately survived and has been recovering since.
