“Mob Psycho 100” Season 2 is the long-awaited second installment to the hugely popular psychic battle anime that has fans drooling with anticipation. Studio BONES recently gave these fans some service by releasing a new trailer of epic proportions. Not only did it feature promising scenes of psychic combat, but it also teases Mob getting a girlfriend and Ritsu potentially being corrupted by his psychic powers.
The trailer for “Mob Psycho 100” Season 2 was just released on YouTube and it’s blessedly subtitled in English. As such, even western fans of the anime are treated to an exciting peek at what they can expect from the show’s upcoming season. There are the usual everyday shenanigans in Mob’s life, of course, and in his side-job with his fraudulent psychic of an employer.
However, the most interesting aspects about the clip are how it reveals that Mob might just be getting a girlfriend in “Mob Psycho 100” Season 2, and it’s his long-time crush, Takane. Has Shigeo finally summoned up the courage to confess or is this just another misleading segment in a confusing trailer?
If he did manage to snag Takane as a girlfriend, this can also spell trouble for Mob. As Comic Book points out, this will only make controlling his emotions and by extension his powers more difficult. Will “Mob Psycho 100” Season 2 be a lot more emotional than the first?
There is also the part about Ritsu being potentially corrupted by his psychic powers. There is one brief part in the “Mob Psycho 100” Season 2 trailer where Mob’s brother activates his abilities. While doing so, he tells Shigeo that he doesn’t have to use his monstrous powers for such a little thing. What is he referring to and why does he have such an ominous expression?
“Mob Psycho 100” Season 2 is scheduled to air on January 2019. Fans can stay tuned to find out the exact date.
