Motorola is expected to announce the Edge 30 Pro for the global market soon. But fans of the brand might not have to wait for the official launch to find out its technical specifications and design, thanks to yet another leak.
The report comes from WinFuture that shows a new set of alleged marketing renders of Motorola Edge 30 Pro. The new leaked images show every side of the device and hint at two color options in the works. But the publication noted that its specs and design confirm that the upcoming device will be a rebranded version of the Edge X30 Pro released in China last December.
The same leak also shares details of the Motorola Edge 30 Pro’s key technical specs and claims that the upcoming flagship-level phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. It will sport a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with 2400 x 1080 pixels, up to 144Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ compatibility.
Motorola Edge 30 Pro will pack a 5000mAh battery that can charge at a rate of up to 68 watts using the brand’s TurboPower chargers. The renders also show it has three cameras on the back, which the leak indicates will be composed of two 50MP sensors. One of them will function as the main camera with an f/1.9 aperture, optical image stabilizer, and support for 4K video mode. The other is a wide-angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture. The third rear-facing camera will be a 2MP sensor for depth. Its selfie camera is something to anticipate as well with a large 60MP sensor.
The report mentioned that the Motorola Edge 30 Pro will be available with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. It is unclear if there will be other configurations, but the leak noted that the device does not have a microSD slot.
Last week, noted leaker Evan Blass shared a brief promo video showing that the Motorola Edge 30 Pro will support the use of a stylus. However, the new marketing renders leaked on WinFuture suggest there is no built-in storage for the accessory. But a folio case from Motorola might have a place to store the device’s stylus.
Motorola is expected to unveil the Edge 30 Pro on Thursday, Feb. 24. However, it is still unknown when the device will arrive in stores and how much it will cost outside China.
