As of now, there are a ton of uncertainties surrounding “My Hero Academia” Chapter 227, mostly because it can be difficult to tell where things would go from here. It’s clear, however, that Shigaraki intends to use Gigantomachia to do some damage to the Quirk Liberation Army. This might work against the minions, but there are speculations that Re-Destro can actually defeat the mighty giant.
The leader of the QLA is expected to step in once Gigantomachia becomes active and “My Hero Academia” Chapter 227 could be when this happens. Re-Destro winning against the league’s greatest weapon would spell trouble for All-For-One’s legacy, TheAnimeScroll notes. It might even signal the end for the league.
This is a rather difficult outcome to foretell, at this point, simply because not much is known about the full extent of Re-Destro’s power. He has yet to show off the destructive qualities of his Quirk or even that it has the capacity to destroy things, to begin with. “My Hero Academia” Chapter 227 should hopefully provide an insight into this particular matter.
It is worth remembering that the league is composed of some dangerous individuals on their own, starting from Shigaraki down to Gabi. These are people who have Quirks that can help them kill, as Toga demonstrated in the previous chapter. This is why so many fans are looking forward to who will be featured in “My Hero Academia” Chapter 227.
If the upcoming chapter touches on a fight between Re-Destro and Gigantomachia, leading to the former’s victory, it would put into question who the real villains in the series will become. Will it remain the league or will it be the QLA and its libertarian tendencies? For those hoping that Shigaraki will come out on top in “My Hero Academia” Chapter 227, its May 11 release might provide hope.
