“My Hero Academia” has a lot of mysteries remaining that have yet to be resolved, not least of which is the true nature of One-For-All. This seemingly boundless source of power that Midoriya inherited from All Might is still showing surprising features. In an upcoming special episode that will focus on the origins of the world’s greatest hero himself, perhaps some of these mysteries can be solved.
The manga that is being adapted is called “All Might Rising,” and it’s basically a prequel to “My Hero Academia.” The manga was released early this year and it was only recently announced that the anime adaptation was also being planned. This particular announcement was made in a recent special event in Japan for “My Hero Academia” fans.
For those who may not be aware, however, it’s worth pointing out that this particular “My Hero Academia” spin-off can be a bit on the dramatic side. It’s not unlike the origins of Midoriya who was born without a Quirk, but fans will already be familiar with the fate that awaits All Might. He will lose his beloved master to All-For-One and he himself will be wounded grievously in their fight.
Even with this being the case, it will still be interesting to see what this particular “My Hero Academia” special OVA will look like once it has been animated. After all, there can be a lot of differences between what’s shown in the manga and how it is presented on the small screen. What’s more, action scenes can be so much more epic when animated.
This “My Hero Academia” OVA will be released alongside the release of the Blu-Ray and DVD of the property’s hit film “My Hero Academia: Two Heroes.” This is slated for Feb. 13, 2019, so fans will definitely want to keep an eye out for that.
