Talk about impeccable timing. Real-life Saudi Arabia deputy crown prince Mohammed Bin Salman has been on the headlines lately due to his controversial rise to power and his suspected involvement in the assassination of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. But now fictional deputy crown prince Kamal (Ritesh Rajan) is ready to take center stage when “NCIS: Los Angeles” Season 10 Episode 3 airs on Oct. 14
According to the official synopsis of “NCIS: Los Angeles” Season 10 Episode 3, Callen (Chris O’Donnell) and Sam (LL Cool J) are tasked with the protection of Kamal after the prince’s decoy is targeted by an unknown assassin upon his arrival. Well, the assignment won’t be easy. As Callen noted in the trailer, the assassination will be a major international incident so they better take their role as glorified bodyguards seriously.
Interestingly, the trailer also teases that there’s a twist the agents won’t see coming. What could that be? The synopsis didn’t really give away much, but some observers have noted that the twist may have something to do with the bride and groom characters portrayed by Kiralee Hayashi and Greg Audino in “NCIS: Los Angeles” Season 10 Episode 3. Drew Waters and Britt Rentschler will also guest star DSS Agent Brian Bush, and Sarah Lombard.
Joelle Taylor (Elizabeth Bogush) will appear as Joelle Taylor as well in “NCIS: Los Angeles” Season 10 Episode 3. It will be interesting to see her interact with her ex-boyfriend, Callen. Her return shouldn’t come as surprise because executive producer Scott Gemmill has already confirmed that people from Callen’s past will appear this season.
“We may see some new faces and we’re going to see some familiar faces from the past, especially Callen. His female relationships will come back to haunt him a couple of times,” Gemmill said in an interview with Parade.com last month.
