Nicole Kidman is reportedly starring as Terri Irwin in the upcoming movie that will feature the popular zookeeper and TV personality Steve Irwin. It was said that since they are two of the most recognizable Australian artists that appear on American shows, it is fitting for the “Moulin Rouge” actress to be in the film.
Nicole to put on the khaki outfit?
As per the report coming from New Idea, Nicole Kidman will act as the late Steve Irwin’s wife in a film that will immortalize the life of “The Crocodile Hunter.” it was said that the 53-year-old actress is not only starring in the movie but will also serve as its producer.
“Nicole is uniquely placed to understand the fanfare that Steve and his family still get in America and of course she knows how much Steve meant to the Australians,” the source supposedly told the magazine. “She can’t believe that no one’s done a Steve biopic before.”
Nicole Kidman is allegedly really excited about the project because for one she will be filming in her native country. She has been filming in Byron Bay for months now and she is said to be taking the opportunity to scout the actor who can play Steve during her spare time. Currently, she is eyeing Liam Hemsworth for the role.
“Nic wants to look locally for her main man and she’s getting friendly with Liam,” the source said. “She also loves Dacre Montgomery of ‘Stranger Things.’”
It was added that Russel Crowe, one of her best buddies, was also recruited to join the cast. That is a good decision because he is also one of Steve’s closest friends.
The truth about Nicole’s casting in Steve’s biopic
Gossip Cop stated that this is another false story from New Idea. In the first place, there is no biopic movie in production and there’s not even a plan for it. Also, if there is really such a movie coming up, other reputable sources such as Deadline or Variety would have shared the news already.
Nicole Kidman has been busy throughout the year and while it is already 2021 in a few days, her schedule remained packed since she is still filming in Australia. Plus, she has other projects that she has yet to fulfill so there is no time to add more work to her calendar.
