‘Now You See Me 3’ News: Lionsgate Confirms Film In the Works; Benedict Cumberbatch Reportedly Added to Cast

Now You See Me

“Now You See Me 3” is definitely late. The movie sequel has been confirmed in 2015 and it is already 2019 and there is no announcement about its release yet.

Although “Now You See Me 2” premiere in cinemas in 2016, the gap for the next installment is still so long. However, Lionsgate may compensate for the long wait by offering a better version via the third film since it has been in the planning since four years ago.

According to Variety, after the filming of the second sequel, the producers immediately proceeded to work on “Now You See Me 3.” It was Lionsgate’s CEO, Jon Feitheimer who shared about this detail through a conference call with a movie analyst.

“We’ve already begun early planning for ‘Now You See Me 3,'” Fektheumer said.

Despite the confirmation that it is in the works, fans can’t help but still think that it might not be arriving anymore. It has been three years since “Now You See Me 2” was released so this is just a common reaction among fans who are waiting for their favorite show or movie.

While information for “Now You See Me 3” is hard to come by, there are some details that have been shared already and one of these is about the cast. It was stated the main cast will still be the same which include Mark Ruffalo (Dylan Rhodes), Morgan Freeman (Thaddeus Bradley), Woody Harrelson (Merritt McKinney), Dave Franco (Jack Wilder), Jesse Eisenberg (J. Daniel Atlas) and Michael Caine (Arthur Tressler).

A new face is set to join them. As per OtakuKart, “Sherlock” star Benedict Cumberbatch has been enlisted by the producers to appear in “Now You See Me 3.” Then again, his role is still a mystery that he could either be a foe or an ally.

“Now You See Me 3” has no exact premiere date yet but based on predictions, it may come out this year. With this said, fans should watch out for the announcement.
