A new promo for the upcoming Sunday episode of ABC’s “Once Upon A Time,” an unlikely protagonist will soon come to the aid of Hook (played by Colin O’Donoghue).
TVLine said in the previous episode, we saw Blackbeard leaving Hook after they accidently realm-hopped to Neverland, missing their final destination, which is Storybrooke. The Lost Boys spotted Hook, and went after him in the hopes of making the latter pay for what he did to the former’s leader, Peter Pan.
In the video promo, Hook is seen cornered by the Lost Boys until someone shot sleeping darts at the latter. When the coast is clear, Hook realized that he was saved by Tiger Lily (Sarah Tomko), who seemed to have been very familiar with the captain long ago. However, the rescue appeared to be a ruse in disguise, as Tiger Lily said, “Who says this is a rescue?” as she plunged a sleeping dart on Hook’s neck.
If fans are hoping for a romantic connection between the two, this was already shot down by executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis to Entertainment Weekly. On the other hand, the two did say that whatever connection Hook and Lily has in the past might be muddled for the fact that the magic that created Neverland is dying.
“They’re not being sustained by magic or given immortality anymore. It’s now a feral, scary island,” Horowitz said.
Meanwhile, lead star Ginnifer Goodwin revealed that the upcoming episode will show the Charmings’ missed opportunity to reunite with Emma. Without discussing any more details, she said, “The backstory that we learn in that episode is also fairly heartbreaking and focuses a lot on the sacrifices that we make for the family as we discover that the Charmings may have had an opportunity to reunite with Emma long before they did.”
