As arguably one of the most highly-anticipated anime scheduled to come out this year, the hype building for “One Punch Man” Season 2 is palpable. In order to pave the way for the show’s premiere in the west, a version of the most recent trailer with English subtitles was released. The clip features the season’s new villain names Garou who promises a slaughter with the likely target being heroes.
As Crunchyroll News points out, the clip featured below has already been seen by fans who are waiting for “One Punch Man” Season 2 to come out. However, the new version has a bonus line at the end where Garou declares his intentions just in case there was anyone who was not clear on that. To reinforce his point, the new character will be called the “Hero Killer” in the upcoming season and for obvious reasons.
“Time to carry out evil. This’ll be a slaughter party,” he says in the clip.
For those who have not read the manga, the slaughter that Garou is promising pertains mostly to other, weaker heroes. Weaker in the sense that they are not Saitama or Genos, who might just give him a run for his money. On that note, fans can expect him to give the heroes plenty of trouble in “One Punch Man” Season 2 with his incredible martial arts ability.
His fighting prowess is courtesy of Bang, who is both a master of martial arts and is one of the strongest heroes in the show. Garou was basically the old man’s student before he was expelled for extreme violence. This is how he will be able to cause so much bloodshed in “One Punch Man” Season 2.
“One Punch Man” Season 2 promises to be one of the hottest anime this year and its April release period is already getting fans pumped up. As always, however, Saitama will deflate all sense of drama and tension when he shows up in all his godly baldness.
