The OnePlus 7T is going to be available for purchase about a week from now. But avid fans of this smartphone brand know that there is another thing to look forward to before 2019 ends. And the is the official announcement of the OnePlus 7T’s McLaren Edition.
This special version of the device is usually announced and released in stores in the last month of the year. However, information has been leaked that the OnePlus 7T McLaren is poised to become quite an expensive variant.
OnePlus 7T McLaren Edition design, price: Device slated to become the most expensive OnePlus smartphone ever
One of the first looks on the OnePlus 7T McLaren Edition comes from the young leaker Ishan Agarwal, who shared what appears to be a promotional photo of the upcoming device. Like the OP 6T version, it features a curved display panel but possibly having much thinner bezels. The special-edition smartphone also does not have any display notch to house the front camera suggesting that it might be placed in a motorized component that pops out when needed.
Have some news for European OnePlus fans! The OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition will be the MOST EXPENSIVE OnePlus phone yet: It will cost €849-€859 for 12GB/256GB. The starting Price of the OnePlus 7T is €589-€599 for 8GB/128GB. #OnePlus7T #OnePlus7TSeries #ANewEra #OnePlus pic.twitter.com/RlMirYMeoY

The OnePlus 7T McLaren Edition can be expected to feature beefed-up configurations, especially in the RAM department. Its 2018 predecessor was made available in a 10GB/256GB variant. Per Agarwal’s report, the upcoming device will have the same internal storage capacity but with a 12GB RAM.
It is expected to cost around €849-€859 for the European market that will make the OnePlus 7T McLaren Edition the most expensive device the company has ever released. Meanwhile, Agarwal advised his followers that converting the said price tag to their respective currencies might not represent the accurate price point for their region.
OnePlus CEO Pete Lau already hinted at the release of the OnePlus 7T McLaren Edition. It is then very likely to maintain an announcement and retail release dates sometime in December.
