PlayStation fans saw several PS5 restocks through various retailers last week, and that is speculated to happen again in the coming days. Several stores are expected to have new units of the console, including Amazon, Best Buy, and Target.
PS5 restock predictions: Best Buy and Target are expected to have new stocks soon
Target has had several PS5 drops over the last few weeks, and the retailer is expected to open the console’s sales soon. TechRadar’s sources reportedly confirmed that Target was able to acquire new stocks of PS5 for this week’s inventory. But as with its previous restocks, not all locations in the United States are expected to get them.
While the exact PS5 restock date via Target is still not confirmed, the same report speculates that it could drop as early as Thursday, March 25. Based on previous console drops, the retailer is expected to open the sales around 7:45 a.m. ET / 4:45 a.m. PT.
Best Buy has been consistently having a weekly PS5 restock, and the retailer is expected to continue that this week. The same report suggests there is a “50/50” chance new PS5 units would available via Best Buy on Friday, March 26. It was also noted how there were noticeably fewer units sold during Best Buy’s latest PS5 restock, increasing the possibility that the retailer would “catch up” on Friday to sell more PS5 consoles.
Massive PS5 restock via Amazon has yet to happen
Over the last few days, Amazon has been expected to have one of the biggest PS5 restocks since the console launch last November. TechRadar’s Matt Swider shared a photo from an Amazon source showing that the e-commerce giant has 46,000 units in inventory. While the same evidence showed the drop was supposed to happen last March 18, Amazon appeared to have postponed it to a still unknown date.
You didn't miss it. Amazon PS5 restock was scheduled for today 14:00 UTC (10am ET). Could drop any time – it's up to Amazon. Best Buy last Fri was 3hrs late on me. Everyone doubted then too.

The good news? Amazon has a 46,000 PS5 inventory–just waiting. I'll ping u. Info is free pic.twitter.com/c7UGidMjSK
PlayStation fans are still waiting for the Amazon PS5 restock. But since the company already has this many units available, the much-awaited PS5 restock could happen anytime. Luckily, there are several Twitter pages such as Swider’s and Jake Randall’s that have been reliable references for when retailers have opened PS5 drops, so fans do not have to wait aimlessly.
