Park Shin Hye is gearing up to star in a new drama, which is good news as fans want to see her back on the small screen. She was last seen as Jung Hee Joo in tvN’s “Memories of the Alhambra” with Hyun Bin that aired from December 2018 to January 2019.
It has been 10 months since her last drama ended, and Shin Hye will likely be back to the drama scene in the second half of 2020. Filming has yet to begin, but the actress will be working with Cho Seung Woo for this project that was said to have been titled "Sisyphus: The Myth."
About the drama
According to Korea’s OSEN, the drama is a sci-fi mystery that will be directed by Jin Hyuk who also helmed many blockbuster dramas such as “Doctor Stranger,” “Legends of the Blue Sea,” “City Hunter,” and “Brilliant Legacy” (also known as “Shining Inheritance”).
While the exact production date for this anticipated Park Shin Hye and Seung Woo drama-starrer is not yet determined, it was revealed that most parts of the script are ready. "A lot of the script has been completed, and it's very high quality so there's much anticipation about it," Joy News 24 quoted a source as saying.
Why the filming could not begin this year
Park Shin Hye and Cho Seung Woo are currently working on their respective projects these days. The actor has been filming “Secret Forest” season 2 since September, and it will probably wrap up in November or December.
On the other hand, the actress is working on her movie with Yoo Ah In called “#ALONE.” This mystery thriller film will be directed by Jo Il Hyung as per Soompi. The pairing of Ah In and Shin Hye was confirmed in July, and they will play Joon Woo and Yoo Bin, respectively.
Meanwhile, Park Shin Hye completed the filming for the “Call” movie in April, but this has yet to be released. It is about the story of two women who are living in different time periods, but they were mysteriously connected through a phone call. “The Heirs” will be Seo Yeon in the movie while Jun Jong Seo is Young Sook, the woman from the past.
