PepsiCo is launching in Ireland a new version of 7up that boasts the same recipe as the original product but without the fizz, dubbed the 7up Flat.
The soft drinks giant says the product, which is "pre-shaken and ready to serve," is in response to a rise in consumer demand across Ireland, where consumers continue to shake, boil, whisk, and stir 7up, in a bid to flatten it.
7up Brand Manager Joanna Lawlor said they have noted several customer complaints of ‘dead arms’ from too much whisking and shaking – not to mention the number of pans that have boiled over.
According to Lawlor, they found that it takes approximately seven hours and seven minutes for a bottle of 7up to perfectly flatten once opened.
7up Flat is available in 500-ml bottles, 330-ml cans, and 2-liter bottles.
PepsiCo says the product was ready to launch following months of development and testing.
