It has been reported that reality star Phaedra Parks will no longer return to “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” for Season 10. Citing unnamed sources, E! said the producers have decided to not extend the invitation to Parks to return to the show.
Parks gained notoriety over the weekend when it was revealed during the show’s reunion special that she was the one who spread rumors that fellow castmate Kandi Burruss and her husband Todd Tucker planned to drug another castmate, Porsha Williams, and mutual friend Shamea Morton so the couple could take advantage of them sexually. The revelations naturally led to outburst from the cast members, and Parks spending the rest of the reunion special apologizing to both Williams and Burruss, People.com said. Williams considered Parks as her closest friend in the show.
Rollingout said Parks getting booted out of the show was not surprising. The piece read that, “she deliberately and with malice aforethought spread the lie of fellow cast mates conspiring to commit the first-degree felony of rape on another cast mate.”
Although Bravo had no comment about the casting news, reunion special host Andy Cohen said Parks’ left him “stunned.” Parks has since said her piece following the reunion special. She claimed that "everything happens for a reason."
She explained, “What’s meant to happen will happen. They say you’re set up to step up for the next thing, right? I know that I’m fortunate. I know that good things happen to me because I have my feet on frugal ground. I can’t regret anything, but I know it was destined to happen.”
