We just welcomed the new year with a bang and now filmmakers are more than ready to scare the living hell out of people with the movie they have prepared for all of us. Halloween may be far from now but scaring people need not to follow a schedule so viewers all over the world better prepare for this, for the fifth and final movie of the franchise Phantasm V: Ravager' will soon hit the theaters this 2016 alongside its original movie 'Phantasm'.
Of all the five films of the franchise, the fifth one is the odd one out because it was directed by David Hartman while the first four were directed by Don Coscarelli. After the release of the first film in 1979, Phantasm fans all over the world will be more than delighted with this news for they sure have waited a very long time. And another delightful rumor that everyone hopes is true is about J.J. Abrams and his production company Bad Robot improving the definition of the movie with a complete 4k restoration. Cool, right? It turned out that Abrams is a big fan of the franchise and would want for everyone to see it in a better resolution to complete the package.
And as for the characters, there were speculations about a character from the third installment, Phantasm III: Lord of the Dead, coming back for the fifth film. One thing is for sure though, we will be seeing again Gloria Lynne Henry who played Rocky in the third film and face off the Tall Man (Angus Scrimm). In the trailer released by the team, the Tall Man is seen using his silver spheres which will wreack havoc to the people.
That's it for the spoilers now of 'Phantasm V: Ravager'. Be sure to watch out for any updates and possible spoilers.
