“Power” season 6 episode 15 is the series’ final story and the fans will finally see how each character turned out to be. Like any other finale, it will also give answers to things that left questions to the viewers. In short, it will close out loose ends while also offering an ending that the fans will like or not like.
Recap
In the previous episode, the authorities are still trying to figure out who shot James “Ghost” St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick). The suspects are down to four but the police have not yet pinpointed who shot him at the Truth nightclub. Since last year, before the show went into a short mid-season break, this cliffhanger was already in place and when it returned on screen earlier this month, the hunt for Ghost’s shooter continues.
Now, in “Power” season 6 episode 14 titled the “Reversal of Fortune,” it seems that it was referring to Ghost and Tommy’s situation because the latter was shown running away so he can start a new life which was something that St.Patrick has been wanting since the sixth season began. He wanted to change and turn his life around but people are trying to stop him and they all want him to go down and this includes his closest friend, Tommy.
Episode title
As per Rotten Tomatoes, “Power” season 6 episode 15 is called “Exactly How We Planned” but there is no description regarding its plot summary. But then, it is likely that Tate will be in trouble after it was learned that before Ghost was shot, he was the one who contacted a hitman to put the former drug lord down.
Believing that Ghost wants to kill him, he called the hitmen while drunk. The assassins are father and son from the country and they traveled to New York to accept the work. However, Tate realized he’d made a mistake and wants to abort the work but the father and son refused to go home without accomplishing what they came for especially when Tate said that they will not be paid for a job that they didn’t do.
TV Line shared that the father and son killers are Groop and Carter and they succeeded in shooting Ghost however, they did not know that Tommy was also there at the site and this complicated things for them. Tommy and the assassins engaged in a shootout and Groop, the father, was killed. Carter escaped and went to Kamal, Tate's brother's home.
Who killed Ghost?
“Power” season 6 episode 15 confirmed that Ghost is dead from the bullet that pierced his heart. But his rivals, especially Tate will taint his name even if he is not around anymore. He will put the blame on him so he can win in the election.
Finally, Newsweek suggested that it was Cooper Saxe (Shane Johnson) who shot Ghost because, since season 1, he’s been trying to get him. Plus, out of all the suspects, he is the only one who has not killed a single person yet but in the end, his hands could be filled with Ghost’s blood.
“Power” season 6 episode 15 will air on Feb. 9 at 8 p.m. on Starz.
