“Red Dead Redemption 2” is about to launch worldwide, and fans are drooling in anticipation. The western shooter will feature a ton of surprises for fans, which supposedly includes the biggest map that Rockstar Games has ever made. Considering that this includes the map in “GTA V,” this would be quite the feat, indeed. The timed-exclusive items intended for the PlayStation 4 have also been revealed.
In a report by the Dutch publication insidegamer.nl, which has since been redacted, “Red Dead Redemption 2” will feature the complete map of the previous game. Those who have played the first “Red Dead Redemption” game should get a nostalgia kick out of knowing this. It would also seem that the outlet spoke with a PR representative from Rockstar to get this information.
Before the article was redacted, the representative confirmed that the map in “Red Dead Redemption 2” would be gigantic. In the edited version, however, the answer was changed to seem more mysterious to avoid spoiling the fans.
As Comicbook.com notes, it’s difficult to tell exactly what happened that forced the Dutch outlet to make the changes. However, it would be safe to say that Rockstar contacted the publication to have the piece redacted.
Fortunately, there are still pieces of information that fans can rely on to be true, including which “Red Dead Redemption 2” items are set to be exclusive to the PS4 for a limited time. It would appear that these include a gun, a horse, and an outfit.
These items will be split between the single-player version of “Red Dead Redemption 2” and “Red Dead Online,” Games Radar reports. Eventually, these items will also make their way to Xbox One after a certain period has elapsed.
“Red Dead Redemption 2” will be released worldwide on Oct. 26. It will be available on both the PS4 and the Xbox One.
