“Red Dead Redemption 3” discussions are already underway even as the second game in the franchise has yet to be released. It would appear that the conditions of the third game are contingent upon the success of the second. That is to say, “Red Dead Redemption 3” will happen if “Red Dead Redemption 2” sells well. Does anybody really believe that the game won’t sell phenomenally?
This discussion with regards to “Red Dead Redemption 3” occurred in an interview with Vulture. Speaking to the publication, Rockstar Games co-founder Dan Houser talked about how the game is quite possible of the upcoming western shooter does well. Considering just how huge the hype is for “Red Dead Redemption 2,” it’s safe to say that “Red Dead Redemption 3” is already in the bag.
As Comicbook.com notes, there is absolutely no doubt that “Red Dead Redemption 2” is going to dominate the sales charts when it is released next week. Fans of the franchise are already salivating at the thought of being able to ride horses in open plains and do just about anything that they want to do. They will be playing as outlaws after all. This “Red Dead Redemption 3” news is just icing on the cake.
Then again, Houser could be talking specifically about the online aspect of “Red Dead Redemption 2.” Much like in “Grand Theft Auto V: San Andreas,” Rockstar is aiming to build a robust online community in this western shooter. This could be where the hitch for “Red Dead Redemption 3” comes in.
It’s simply an unfortunate fact that publishers put a lot of focus on profits these days that come above all other concerns. “Red Dead Redemption 3” would be pretty much guaranteed if the sales for “Red Dead Redemption 2” are the only issue. Unfortunately, there is also the online engagement to consider. “Red Dead Redemption 2” will be released on Oct. 26.
