Nike's 2006 "Fantastic Four" Pack, inspired by Marvel superheroes, includes models like the Air Max 90 (Mr. Fantastic) and Air Force 1 Low (Invisible Woman). With the Fantastic Four returning to the big screen, this collection is again in the spotlight.

Nike’s 2006 ‘Fantastic Four’ Pack Gains Renewed Interest with Upcoming Film Release

In a recent report by Sneaker News, Nike's “Fantastic Four” Pack, initially released in 2006, featured four models representing each member of the Marvel Comics superhero team: the Air Max 90 (Mr. Fantastic), Air Force 1 Low (Invisible Woman), Dunk High (The Thing), and Air Max 95 (Human Torch). The collection also included the Air Foamposite Pro, a tribute to the team’s long-standing rival, Dr. Doom. With the return of the Fantastic Four franchise to the silver screen, this collection has garnered renewed interest, bringing back fond memories for sneaker enthusiasts and Marvel fans alike.

Unlike the Silver Surfer Nike Dunks, the Fantastic Four Pack is a subtle yet powerful tribute to the Marvel characters. The absence of apparent marks or illustrations connecting it to the characters adds a layer of sophistication to the design, making it a must-have for any Marvel fan.

Exploring Nike's ‘Fantastic Four’ Pack: Iconic Designs Inspired by Marvel's Superheroes

Nike Air Max 90 “Mr. Fantastic”

As the leader of the Fantastic Four, Reed Richards is known for his ability to stretch his limbs and body to immeasurable degrees. This Air Max 90 features an all-blue upper with white accents on the Swoosh, laces, interior lining, and midsole.

Nike Air Force 1 Low “Invisible Woman”

Clear shoes were popular in the early-to-mid 2000s. Nike applied the transparent TPU upper on the Air Force 1 Low as a tribute to the Invisible Woman, known for her ability to vanish from sight.

Nike Air Max 95 “Human Torch”

Johnny Storm’s Human Torch is the most visible of the pack; the Air Max 95 is set aflame with a full patent leather upper featuring a gradation of reds to yellows mimicking the hero’s fiery appearance. Initially, the Human Torch was supposed to be a Dunk High, but it was changed to the 95s.

Nike Dunk High “Thing”

The brown overlay of this Dunk High has a unique, rocky texture that represents Ben Grimm’s Thing. It’s matched with light tan smooth leather and a bright orange Swoosh and interior.

Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Doctor Doom”

Victor Von Doom, best known for his green and silver metallic costumes, is back in the mainstream with Disney/Marvel’s casting of Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom in the upcoming Avengers films. Nike chose a simple black/white colorway for this popular Air Foamposite Pro design.
