Samsung Electronics made deals with several South Korean physical retailers to promote the use of Samsung New Galaxy NFTs.
The retailers include Samsung Digital Plaza, Shilla Duty-Free Shop, Show Golf, and E Cruise.
Samsung wants to provide clients with a variety of services through these NFTs, including rewards like offline discounts at partner retailers.
The New Galaxy NFTs were introduced in February 2022 as a result of a collaboration between Samsung and web3 company Theta Labs. Those who placed pre-orders for the Galaxy S22 series and the GalaxyTab S8 first received them.
Through these deals, Samsung is tapping into a wider trend of using them for loyalty and rewards that could become key to the long term adoption of NFTs.
