Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are back on the headlines after the former released her new song titled “Lose You To Love Me.” It was said that the lyrics shaded Bieber, and his wife, Hailey Baldwin, is not thrilled about it.
The controversy heats up when Baldwin uploaded a screenshot of Summer Walker’s “I’ll Kill You” song. As per Cosmopolitan, the model’s IG post came shortly after her husband’s ex’s song was released. Because of the time frame, Gomez’s fans assume that Bieber’s wife is sending the message to their favorite celebrity.
Justin and Hailey push Selena away?
In Touch Weekly reported that Justin Bieber and his wife reacted harshly on Selena Gomez’s new song that was supposedly about Biebs. One source said that the married couple hopes that this is the last time that Gomez will mention him in her lyrics.
“Justin and Hailey hope this is the last song she writes about him,” the source allegedly told the publication. “They just want Selena to leave them alone.”
Selena’s response
In light of Baldwin’s IG post and everything else that has been reported about her and Justin since her “Lose You To Love Me” came out, Selena Gomez went live on Instagram to address the “shading” allegations. She thanked her supporters first and asked everyone to be kind.
"I am so grateful for the response of the song,” she said. “However, I will never stand for women tearing other women down so please be kind to everyone."
The singer/actress further asked people to be kind because she doesn’t like seeing someone being rude or disrespectful to others. “Please don't do that," she pleaded.
Meanwhile, Gossip Cop debunks this report about the Biebers asking Selena Gomez to leave them alone. The publication stated that the news is totally false.
In truth, the couple doesn’t want to give a reaction to the lyrics because it will only create noise. It was added that Hailey actually understands the process of writing music, and she acknowledged that Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have their past, and besides, her husband has moved on already.
