Early this week, fans of the sci-fi series “Sense8” were treated with the show’s official trailer. The trailer, which is a minute, 43 seconds long, featured a bunch of profile shots of the sensates, which includes cast members Doona Bae, Jamie Clayton, Tina Desai, Tuppence Middleton, Toby Onwumere, Max Riemelt, Miguel Angel Silvestre, Brian J. Smith, Terrence Mann, Naveen Andrews and Daryl Hannah. The trailer also showed a painting and featured some good remarks for the famous Dutch painter Rembrandt, The Verge reported.
The voiceover in the trailer said, “Rembrandt. His name is synonymous with masterpiece, and this is arguably one of his greatest paintings. An iconic work of individuals setting aside their differences for a common good. But what we see is not what people saw hundreds of years ago. How we see changes, because our senses are evolving.”
“Sense8” follows the lives of sensates, a diverse, young group of people who are connected with each other through their brains. The group is constantly threatened by a mysterious organization called the BPO simply because of their capabilities and their existence as a “threat to secrecy.”
An official synopsis for Season 2 read:
“In Season 2, dark forces continue to track the cluster of eight connected characters. The sensates will learn more about BPO, the secret organization searching for their cluster and others like them, and will work to protect themselves from this organization that is out to hunt and kill them.”
Slashfilm said all ten episodes of “Sense8” Season 2 will be available for streaming on Netflix starting May 5.
