Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo have been rumored to be heading for divorce, and unfortunately, many people believed this. The reports came just a year after they tied the knot in October 2017 and at that time, the couple did not comment, perhaps because it is because they know the truth.
The divorce rumors on Joong Ki and Hye Kyo reached its peak when a Chinese magazine published photos of the actress and highlighted the fact that she was not wearing her wedding ring. The publication then claimed that this is a sure sign that the “Descendant of the Sun” stars have called it quits.
But during Song Joong Ki’s script reading for “Arthdal Chronicles,” he showed up with his ring which is enough to dispel the divorce rumors. Probably, to emphasize even more that he and his wife are still together, in the latest press conference for his comeback drama, he once again assured fans that he and Song Hye Kyo are still together when he shared that his wife cheered for him when he was filming the drama.
“My wife, she is a huge fan of the ‘Arthdal’ director and the two writers. And because this is a drama series I am coming back with, in about 3 or 4 years, she has been a constant cheerleader for me,” Soompi quoted Joong Ki as saying.
Meanwhile, Song Joong Ki’s drama took off with a big bang when it premiered with high ratings and even higher on episode 2. According to Ilgan Sports via Naver, the second story gained an average rating of 7.3 percent nationwide, which is a bit higher compared to the opening night that scored around 6.7 percent.
Finally, Song Joong Ki’s “Arthdal Chronicles” is airing every Saturday and Sunday at 9 p.m. on tvN.
